RCSD arrests parent at bus stop

Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott announced the arrest of Princess Killingsworth (DOB: 11/26/1985) charged with interfering with the normal operations of a school bus and assault 3rd

Sheriff Leon Lott stated that Killingsworth was arrested just before 8:00 AM at the 200 block of Lewis Scott Court, 29044 on Thursday, September 22, 2016 by Richland County Sheriff’s Department Deputies. 

The Sheriff stated that on Thursday, September 22, 2016 at the 200 block of Lewis Court, 29044 deputies responded to disturbance on a school bus. Deputies were able to determine that this was an ongoing incident between Killingsworth’s son and a few of the students. The Sheriff stated that while the students were waiting for the school bus, Killingsworth was yelling and using profanity at the students who she stated were bullying her son. The Sheriff stated that once the bus arrived, the students boarded the bus as well as Killingsworth; the bus driver put himself between Killingsworth and the students involved and convinced her to leave. The Sheriff added that a student who was boarding as she was leaving stated that Killingsworth grabbed and pinched his arm, then pushed him before exiting the bus.  

The Sheriff stated that Killingsworth has been transported to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
