Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott is requesting the community’s assistance identifying three suspects wanted for fraud.
Sheriff Leon Lott stated that the suspects opened store credit card accounts using the victim’s identification and made the following purchases of televisions and furniture:
· Monday, August 15, 2016 at 201 Columbia Mall Road (Value City Furniture), 29223, the suspects made approximately $3,000 in purchases
· Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at 10204 Two Notch Road (Target), 29223, the suspects made approximately $3,000 in purchases
· Sunday, August 20, 2016 at 919 Gervais Street (Whit-Ash Furniture), 29201, the suspects made approximately $5,000 in purchases.
Sheriff Leon Lott stated that victim realized that his accounts were compromised after receiving billing statements in the mail. The Sheriff stated that suspect number one is described as a white male in his 60’s, wearing a gray t-shirt, camouflage shorts, and a camouflage hat. Suspect number two is described as a white male in his 30’s, wearing a black t-shirt and black pants. Suspect number three is described as a black male, wearing a black t-shirt, and khaki shorts. Sheriff Lott stated that the suspects were captured on video surveillance equipment (images below).
