RCSD Seeks Suspects for Fraud

Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott is requesting the community’s assistance in identifying two suspects wanted for fraud. 

Sheriff Leon Lott stated that the suspects stole the victim’s credit card information and was able to clone a card to make a purchase at Palmetto Moon located at 630 Promenade Place, 29229, on Sunday, August 21, 2016. The suspects purchased two pair of sunglasses valued at approximately $345.00.

Sheriff Leon Lott stated that it is unclear when or where the victims’ credit card information was compromised. The Sheriff continues to warn against those who are out to steal your credit card information; remember to be aware of your surroundings and who may be watching over your shoulder. The Sheriff suggests that you continue to keep track of all your cards and receipts to compare your monthly statements.    

Sheriff Leon Lott stated that suspect number one is described as a white male wearing a gray shirt, and black pants. Suspect number two is described as a white male wearing a red stripped shirt. Sheriff Lott stated that the suspects were captured on video surveillance equipment (images below).
