RCSD Seeks Robbery Suspect who may frequent Charlotte/Rock Hill

Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott is requesting the community’s assistance in locating a suspect wanted for robbery.

Sheriff Leon Lott stated just before 10:00 PM on Sunday, September 11, 2016 at 135 Blythewood Road (IGA Grocery Store), 29016, the suspect walked in to the business, presented a handgun, and demanded money from the safe. The suspect stole cash and the victim’s (employee) cell phone, then fled the location. The Sheriff added that no injuries have been reported as a result of this incident.  

The Sheriff stated that the suspect was captured on video surveillance (video images can be found at http://www.youtube.com/user/RCSDInvestigates please reference release number 0916-2451 on the right hand side). The suspect may frequent the Charlotte/Rock Hill area and is described as a black male in his late 30’s to early 40’s, wearing a camouflage hat, navy blue long sleeve shirt, khaki pants, and black shoes.
