RCSD Seeks Suspect for Assault and Shoplifting  

Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott is requesting the community’s assistance in locating a suspect wanted for shoplifting and assault.

Sheriff Leon Lott stated that at 3:30 PM on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at 10060 Two Notch Road (Walmart), 29223, the suspect walked in to the business and stole a camera system valued at approximately $300.00. The Sheriff stated that the suspect then struck an employee (victim) with the stolen item in the upper body and then fled from the business.    

The Sheriff stated that the suspect was captured on video surveillance equipment (video images can be found at http://www.youtube.com/user/RCSDInvestigates please reference release number 1016-2480 on the right hand side). The suspect fled the location in a 4-door gray 2015 Kia Forte bearing SC Tag MED391. 

Sheriff Leon Lott asks that if you have any information, or know the identity of the suspect to please call Crimestoppers.
