Four arrested for burglary, larceny and receiving stolen goods

Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott announced today the arrest of four people in connection with crimes ranging from burglary, to petit/grand larceny, to receiving stolen goods.

Sheriff Lott stated that the Sheriff’s Department received reports between April 29 and May 9 of citizens having items stolen from construction sites.  Investigators received a tip that several people were in possession of stolen goods at their residences and investigators conducted a search of those residences and found stolen items from several locations. Investigators found items from eight different locations including the new elementary school currently under construction at Kelly Mill Road and Bombing Range Road and including residences under construction in the Lake Carolina community.

Sheriff Lott added that it is important for citizens to not only make sure they report all issues or concerns in their communities, but that they also get involved in apprehending those responsible – this case is another example of citizens getting involved in both reporting the issues but in also helping to apprehend those responsible.
