Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott is asking for the community's help in solving an unusual event of burglaries that occurred at Zion Benevolent Baptist Church 201 Meeting House Road Hopkins SC 29061. Sheriff Lott states the church was burglarized twice within a 24-hour period (May 28, 2008 and May 29, 2008) and that the unknown suspect(s) pried their way through the outside door of the church with an unknown object on both occasions removing valuables from the Pastor's office.
T wo computers, two computer monitors, and a television DVD system were stolen from the church totaling a loss of property and damages at approximately $7,000.00.
Anyone with information about these burglaries is urged to call crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC or go to www.sccrimestoppers.com as they could receive a cash reward for their tip that leads to an arrest.
