RCSD Seeks Individual for Assistance in Recent Murder

RCSD has arrested the suspect in this case, and is seeking additional information on possible witnesses.

Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott is requesting the community’s assistance in locating a person who may have vital information connected to a recent murder.

On Saturday, June 24, 2017 just before 3:00 AM at 1005 Fontaine Road (BP gas station), a shooting occurred where a victim was shot in the lower body and later died as a result of his injuries at a local hospital. The victim was involved in an altercation with an unknown suspect after the victim refused to give the suspect a ride. The suspect then shot the victim and fled the scene.


Investigators are currently seeking information from this person (images above) or anyone else that may be able to assist in the investigation.
