Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott is pleased to announce the arrest of the person responsible for the shooting at club 54 on July 23, 2008 that injured two people sending them both to the hospital. Earnest Tyrell Levan Jacobs III ( D.O.B. 9/20/87) turned himself in to investigators this evening at the Richland County Sheriff's Department accompanied by his family. Sheriff Lott states several witnesses were able to tell investigators that a fight took place at club "studio 54" which was gang related. Investigators were able to determine that the male victim was the intended target and the person who Jacobs fought with in the club---the female victim was an innocent bystander. Sheriff Lott adds that this is another example of a senseless shooting and how an innocent person almost lost their life. Jacobs is charged with Assault and Battery with Intent to Kill.
