Sheriff seeks assistance in capturing  burglary suspects

Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott  is asking for the community's assistance in apprehending two suspects who burglarized the home of a victim at 501 Northwood Street Columbia 29201.

Sheriff Lott states that on July 6, 2008 Jerry Lewis Brown (D.O.B. 12/6/90) and Kentwan Lake (D.O.B.9/23/90) broke through a double pane window at the back of the home then kicked in the door in order to gain entry. A tipster led deputies to the location of the stolen items.

Sheriff Lott commends the tipster for calling deputies to the scene of the found property and is now asking for anyone with knowledge of Brown or Lakes' whereabouts to please call crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC or www.sccrimestoppers.com as their tip could earn them up to $1000.00 cash.

Investigators are also looking at Lake and Brown for the possibility of other burglaries.
