** At Approximately  3:45 P.M., 7/12/2008 crimestoppers received a tip  on Wesley Glover's location.  Richland County Fugitive task force and SLED Agents  responded and set up surveillance on the location that the tipster described. Agents and Deputies spotted Glover and conducted a traffic stop on I-20 near 277 and arrested Glover without incident.  Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott commends crimestoppers, the community's involvement, and the quick response of the Richland County Sheriff's Department Fugitive Task Force and SLED Agents for Glovers apprehension.

Sheriff Leon Lott states that on May 12, 2008 at approximately 11:35 A.M. Wesley D. Glover (D.O.B. 12/11/85) robbed a victim at gunpoint while the victim was sitting in his car. The victim was ordered to drive to another location down Pinebelt Road where Glover demanded everything the victim had -- the victim complied giving him cash and his cellular phone. Glover then fled in a Green four door Lincoln with extremely dark tinted windows, with another suspect.  

Investigators from the Richland County Sheriff’s Department, City of Columbia Police Department, and  Forest Acres Police Department are working together to capture Glover because it is believed that Glover is involved in robberies in all three jurisdictions -- Richland County has issued warrants for his arrest in connection with the May 12, 2008 robbery. Sheriff Lott adds that Glover uses assault rifles and shot guns during the robberies.
