Deputy Arrested for DUI

 

Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott announced today that Deputy Dennis Quinn was arrested by the South Carolina Highway Patrol for driving under the influence after being involved in a  hit and run Thursday night at the 7000 block of Two Notch Road. Richland County Deputies responded to a report of a hit and run at the 7000 block of Two Notch Road ---responding deputies located the suspect's vehicle and realized it was an off duty Deputy of the Richland County Sheriffs Department; they contacted the South Carolina Highway Patrol to work the hit and run as per their protocol. Deputy Quinn was Terminated on July 4, 2008. He has been charged with Driving under the Influence, Open container of Beer or Wine, Failure to maintain proof of insurance of Motor Vehicle and Leaving the scene of an accident.
