RCSD captures Clement II:  Justice for Peenie and his Family

Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott announced the arrest of William Jerome Clement II (DOB: 10/21/1967) who was wanted on an outstanding warrant out of Lexington County.

Sheriff Leon Lott stated that Clement was arrested by the Richland County Sheriff’s Department Fugitive Task Force and the United States Marshal Service on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at an apartment complex on Windsor Lake Boulevard, 29223.  

The Sheriff stated that he received a call on Thursday, January 12, 2017 from the estranged wife of Clement whom he victimized; the Sheriff stated that Clement violated a restraining order by going back to the home in Lexington County on multiple occasions harassing and threatening the victim. The Sheriff added that Clement even took the family pet from the home during one of his uninvited visits, which devastated the daughter.      

Sheriff Leon Lott stated that just one hour later, the Sheriff’s Department Fugitive Task Force and the United States Marshal Service located and arrested Clement and recovered the family pet, “Peenie” unharmed, and returned him to the family. The Sheriff stated that Clement is a two time loser with a lengthy record.

Sheriff Leon Lott stated that Clement has been transported to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center where he was then transported to the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department Detention Center.
