RCSD Seeks Suspect for Burglary and Motor Vehicle Theft

The below listed suspect was arrested at 7:30am, March 02, 2017 at an apartment in Augusta, GA by the U.S. Marshals and the RCSD Fugitive Task Force.

Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott is requesting the community’s assistance in locating Kayce Washington (DOB: 08/22/1990) and his unidentified accomplice wanted for burglary, and motor vehicle theft   

Sheriff Leon Lott stated that on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at 229 Old Woodlands Road, Richland County Sheriff’s Department deputies responded to a burglary in progress.  

Washington (still image attached to this release) and an accomplice forced entry into the home through the rear door. The victim arrived at his residence and blocked the suspects’ vehicle in his driveway; Washington and another suspect came from the rear of the home and saw that they were blocked in and fled on foot.

Sheriff Leon Lott stated that on another occasion, Friday, January 6, 2017 at 1270 Polo Road, Washington stole a grey 2013 Honda Accord with South Carolina tag JDP-749. The victim left the vehicle for a moment, and that’s when Washington jumped in and sped away.
