Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott announced the arrest of Kimberly Miller (DOB: 10/29/1993) charged with four counts of attempted murder, armed robbery, and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
Sheriff Leon Lott stated that Miller was arrested by Richland County Sheriff’s Department investigators, Thursday, December 22, 2016 without incident on McKenzie Street (Eastover), 29044 at a relative’s home.
The Sheriff stated that at 9:30pm on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 on the 1400 block of Hollingshed Road, 29063 the victim had just returned home from work, when Miller and another suspect assaulted her as she sat in her vehicle; the victim ran inside her home when Miller fired multiple shots in to the dwelling. The Sheriff stated that there were no reports of injuries; investigators following up on significant leads identified Miller as the person responsible. The Sheriff added that Miller and the victim were involved in an ongoing altercation.
The Sheriff stated that this investigation is ongoing and that additional arrests could be forthcoming. Miller has been transported to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
