RCSD Seeks Suspects for Armed Robbery (Pitt Stop)

Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott is requesting the community’s assistance in identifying two suspects wanted for armed robbery.

Sheriff Leon Lott stated that just before 9:00pm on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at 7460 Two Notch Road, (Pitt Stop), 29223 Richland County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to an armed robbery. 

The Sheriff stated two suspects entered the business pointing handguns at the victim (employee) demanding cash from the register. The suspect grabbed a plastic bag from behind the counter and demanded that the victim put the cash in it (captured on video surveillance equipment); the suspects also stole multiple packs of cigarettes.     

The Sheriff stated that the suspects then fled the business on foot -- video surveillance equipment captures the suspects inside the store – video images from Pitt Stop can be found at http://www.youtube.com/user/RCSDInvestigates please reference release number 1216-2528). Sheriff Leon Lott states that the suspects are described as black males, one slim, one medium build, wearing black masks over their faces, blue sweatshirts, and dark pants.
