RCSD Seeks Suspect for Armed Robbery

Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott is requesting the community’s assistance in identifying the suspect wanted for robbery.

Sheriff Leon Lott stated that just after 6:30pm on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at 4140 Broad River Road, (Food Mart), 29210 Richland County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a robbery. The Sheriff stated a suspect entered the store and approached the victim (employee) demanding cash from the register.  

The Sheriff stated that the suspect was not successful in getting any money, and fled the store in a dark colored vehicle (no further description) -- video surveillance equipment captures the suspect inside the store – the video images from the Food Mart can be found at http://www.youtube.com/user/RCSDInvestigates please reference release number 1216-2527).

Sheriff Leon Lott states that the suspect is described as a black male, medium build, wearing a camo hat, camo jacket, light blue T-shirt, dark blue sweater, and jeans. The Sheriff is asking for assistance in identifying the suspect responsible and to receive up to $1000 for information leading to the arrest, please call, email or text your anonymous tip to: Crimestoppers at 1-888-crimesc, or text “TIPSC plus your message” to CRIMES (274637).
