Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott is requesting the community’s assistance in identifying two suspects wanted for armed robbery.
Sheriff Leon Lott stated that just before 9:00pm on Saturday, December 24, 2016 at 1901 Bluff Road, (Dollar General), 29201 Richland County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to an armed robbery.
The Sheriff stated two suspects entered the business pointing handguns at the victim (employee) demanding cash from the register. The suspects stole the cash and told the victim, “Merry Christmas” as they fled out of the store (captured on video surveillance equipment).
The Sheriff stated that video surveillance equipment captures the suspects inside the store – video images from Dollar General can be found at http://www.youtube.com/user/RCSDInvestigates please reference release number 1216-2529). Sheriff Leon Lott states that the suspects are described as black males; suspect number one was wearing a black hoodie, brown pants, and wore a black mask. Suspect number two was wearing a gray hoodie, black pants, and wore a black mask; both suspects were about 5” 8”, approximately 170 pounds, and light complexion.
