RCSD Seeks Suspect for Strong Armed Robbery

Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott is requesting the community’s assistance in identifying the suspect wanted for strong armed robbery.

Sheriff Leon Lott stated that just before 6:30am on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at 3004 Broad River Road, (Circle K), 29210 Richland County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a strong armed robbery. The Sheriff stated that the suspect entered the store and approached the victim (employee) with a drink; the suspect immediately rushed the victim stealing the cash in her hand.

The Sheriff added that the suspect fled the store on foot (video surveillance equipment captures the suspect inside the store – the video images from Circle K can be found at http://www.youtube.com/user/RCSDInvestigates please reference release number 1216-2525).

Sheriff Leon Lott states that the suspect is described as a black male, full facial hair, medium build, wearing a dark sweatshirt, white skull cap with stripes, jeans, and white tennis shoes. The Sheriff is asking assistance in identifying the suspect responsible and to receive up to $1000 for information leading to the arrest of the person responsible, please call, email or text your anonymous tip to: Crimestoppers at 1-888-crimesc, or text “TIPSC plus your message” to CRIMES (274637).
