RCSD rolls out "High Five Fridays"

“High Five Fridays” Rolled Out Today by Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott
Sheriff Lott Says the Program Promotes Positive Youth and Law Enforcement Engagement

Who doesn’t want to start their day off on a positive note or with an encouraging high five?  Well,  beginning today area students got a boost as Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott kicked off “High Five Fridays,”  a program whereby deputies greet elementary school students with upbeat high fives and fist bumps as the students exit their school buses or car pools.

Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott says,   High Five Fridays promotes trust between cops and kids and is an encouraging way for our young people to begin their school day.”

The “High Five Fridays” rollout began today, Friday, April 28th at  7:20am at Conder Elementary School, 8040 Hunt Club Rd, Columbia.  The “High Five Fridays” roll-out will continue over the next five weeks at elementary schools throughout Richland County.
